We have submitted our home study packet and wait to hear from St. Andre's to call and schedule our home visit and interviews.... We find ourselves anxious about this step, as you can not move forward without an approved home study. We are trying to just remember that God has called us to this journey, and He is a faithful God and will provide what we need, when we need it.
Last week marked the year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti. The news footage is getting harder and harder to watch. We know that our child is there waiting for us. We do not know who they are yet, but our hearts are there with them. Please keep praying for all the children in Haiti and the people as they continue to rebuild.
We used St.Andre's Home, too. They were wonderful! Nancy Walter was our SW and we love her.
ReplyDeleteI know it's hard to see those images on tv. This time last year, we were glued to the tv, so unsure of what was coming. At that time, only Reggie was home and the unknowns were so many. I think back to that time and now can't imagine a time when all 3 of my children weren't here. And someday, you will do the same and the story you will have to tell will be one of faith and trust and joy and a true testimony to what the Lord can do with us in our time of waiting, and sometimes suffering. We have many friends and loved ones in Haiti and it is very sad and painful to think of the suffering there. But know that God has already chosen your child for you and that He is protecting him/her and preparing their little hearts for the journey ahead.
